It’s been said many of times will power doesn’t work, you have to change the way you think and I believe my friend’s morning encouragement and nightly review is as simple as it gets to put the odds in my favor of having an amazing day. Have enough amazing days and you end up with an amazing life!
Great moments are created when we don’t feel like saying yes, but know we should, and actually say “yes”.
To tell your son, “you are me, and I am you, so I understand what it’s like”, was liberating for both of us. It made me appreciate his struggle so much more and as important, to help him find resolution (and me). I’d like to think when he and I think clearly, our thoughts are as good as they get, some serious goodness comes on the other side of our own personal Geronimo’s.
